Traditional and alternative pet care
Traditional and alternative pet care can be a huge part of helping your pet live their best life. Do you know all the various pieces that can go together to help you do that?
I used to take my pets to the vet and do what they say. End of story. But the more I’ve searched, the more I’ve learned. And the more I’ve learned, the more I’ve found other ways to help my pet in addition to what my veterinarian tells me.
Vets are experts at taking care of animals. Their work is based on science and scientific findings that are well tested and widely accepted. But their scope of practice only goes so far. They already have to know medical, diagnostic and surgical aspects of many species of animals, large and small. To ask them to also be expert at practices like massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, herbalism, and so many other areas is alot.
However, these approaches can work with the advice your vet gives you to make the lives of pets better.
In addition to discussing issues with my vet, I’ve been googling, studying and talking to experts about lots of other ways to help my pets who have issues like pain, digestive problems, skin issues, anxiety…….a whole slew of things. I want to help other animal lovers and their pets find ways to take a more complete approach to living a happier, more comfortable life by using traditional and alternative methods of pet care.
What are some of the approaches I’ve studied?
